Whitney EricksonMs. Erickson teaches 11th grade AVID. She loves teaching AVID because of the opportunities there are to support students both in a variety of academic areas and beyond. She believes that building strong relationships
is essential in working with students. As AVID coordinator she is able to advocate for students and facilitate the AVID team so they may meet the needs of all of our students. She is proud of her students and humbled to be part of an amazing team of teachers and tutors. Jennifer MabryMs. Mabry teaches 12th grade AVID. She also teaches LatinX Literature, and IB English. Having begun teaching at Ocean View in 2000, she credits AVID as the most fulfilling part of her career. Watching students apply for college, determine their educational paths into adulthood, and follow their dreams of attaining a college education has been incredibly rewarding. She is grateful to be able to help students in this process and grateful for the AVID team at Ocean View.

Mrs. Fancy teaches 9th grade AVID. She also teaches Algebra 1. This is her first year as part of the AVID Team. She is very excited to help guide and support students. A couple things about her herself, she enjoys watching TV with her family, running, and reading.

Mr. Lopez has been teaching art since 2008 and has had the pleasure of teaching 10th grade AVID since 2017. He recognizes the importance of supporting students in order to achieve their goals and believes that every student possesses a determination to succeed academically and in life.

Amanda Earl Marian White
Ms. Earl teaches 10th grade AVID. She also teaches Algebra 2. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and reading. This is her first year teaching AVID and she's excited to be on the AVID team. She is looking forward to helping her students build upon the foundational skills necessary to be a successful college student.

She is the Program for English Language Learners Coordinator at OV and loves watching students grow their language ability after they start the school year speaking little to no English. Mrs. White loves cooking, eating, and spending time with her family. This is her first year as part of the AVID Team, and she is so excited to help support students achieve their goals.
